with fishtail, wishbone
bundle of rags and twigs
tar, bird’s nest, twine
rotten wood and rusted nails
chipped buttons, stitch-fixed eyes
needle, needle thread
pin together the dead
a Lazarus in a linen sheet
eat. eat. eat.
Oh, yellow moon
Oh, shell shock gun
Leave it all
in a land of ghosts who yearn to walk among the living
a past orphaned from a future
a small thing lost
